Wer kennt das nicht - der Urlaub steht vor der Tür und der Blick in den Reisepass lässt einem kalte Schauer über den Rücken laufen. Ihr deutscher Reisepass ist abgelaufen oder gilt nicht mehr lange genug um die Einreise im Urlaubsland zu ermöglichen.
Dabei ist wirklich Vorsicht geboten. So muss man vor einer Einreise in Thailand einen gültigen Pass besitzen, der mindestens noch sechs Monate gilt.
Nun gibt es drei Möglichkeiten. Entweder man pokert und hat auch noch etwas Zeit im Rücken. Das Ausstellen eines normaler Pass kann aber bis zu sechs Wochen dauern. Wer sich da verzockt kann seinen wohlverdienten Urlaub aufs Spiel setzen. Nach dem ersten Schock könnte der Ärger mit der Liebsten oder der ganzen Familie anstehen. Gottseidank gibt es mittlerweile deutlich mehr Möglichkeiten, einen neuen Pass zu erhalten.
Für wirkliche Spätmerker bleibt nur noch der Weg des vorläufigen Reisepasses. Dieser ist für ein Jahr gültig und kostet in Berlin, München, Hamburg oder Frankfurt jeweils 26 Euro. Für manche war dieser Pass schon die Rettung in letzter Sekunde.
Es gibt allerdings noch eine dritte Lösung, die dafür sorgt, dass so mancher nicht jährlich zum Passamt muss. Der Express-Pass ist der perfekte Kompromiss. Nach bis zu sechs Tagen ist der neue Reisepass da. Aufpreis ist in München, Berlin und Hamburg 32 Euro. Die Wartezeiten sind allerdings von Kommune zu Kommune unterschiedlich. Während man in Berlin (wo auch die Bundesdruckerei sitzt) und Hamburg nur drei Tage auf den neuen Pass im Expresstempo warten muss, dauert das ganze in Frankfurt bis zu 4 Tagen und in München muss man sogar sechs Werktage einrechnen. Da ist sie wieder: die bayrische Gemütlichkeit.
Wichtig: Der Express-Pass ist dabei absolut identisch mit einem normalem Reisepass und gilt bis zu 10 Jahre. Unterschiede zum normalen Pass gibt es außer der Express-Ausstellung nicht.
Egal welche Variante man wählt so wird der Urlaub garantiert nicht schon bei der Anreise ein Reinfall ;-)
